Fold — Wall Panel

Fold is a sculptural wall panel in which a hard, mineral material imitates the softness of cloth. Four horizontal folds settle one beneath the other, their edges extending past the outline of the slab — so the piece is never a flat image but a volume that lives through its own shadow. The fine, sand-like grain and warm off-white tone let the surface shift throughout the day: raked light makes the folds deep and graphic, while diffused light softens them almost to nothing.

Every piece is handmade in our studio — shaped, sanded and finished individually, with no serial production involved. The arrangement of the folds, the distribution of the grain and the exact shade of the surface are therefore never repeated; these small variations are the signature of handcrafted work, not a flaw. The panel works beautifully above a sofa, in an entrance hall or in a minimal bedroom, where it replaces a painting and brings a quiet, sculptural presence instead.
